• Eighty-three people died in various areas of Bihar today due lightning. Another 24 people died due to lightning in Uttar Pradesh. The Death in lightning strikes happened in 23 districts of Bihar and 8 districts of UP

• 83 people were killed in various districts today due to lightning. Another 24 people were killed due to lightning in Uttar Pradesh.The most number of deaths were reported from the Gopalganj district. Total dead in Gopalganj district 13.

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has announced a Rs4 lakh distribute each for the families of those

killed.
